We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

Happy 6th Birthday Alarik

I made Alarik's 6th birthday page with some oldies but goodies from the My Mind's Eye Kraft Fun Day collection.  I have loved these papers and embellishments!  I worked one of the sixes on the number print paper into the title.  I did Scott's 7th birthday page title in a similar fashion using these same papers, but I think this one definitely turned out better.

Jr. High Track 2017

My first track page! I had so much fun making my first volleyball page last fall.  Track was even more fun since it was my own favorite sport in school.
This striped paper in our school colors is from a scrapbook store down in Pine City, MN. It was actually a custom paper for the Barnum Bombers. I just covered up the "Home of the Bombers" text with a black strip and I was good to go to use it for the Huskies!

Birthday Snowmobiling Fun

Another Simple Stories kit that has served me well: Winter Wonderland.  I've made a few pages in the past with this kit and I got it out again to scrapbook Bekah's birthday weekend of snowmobiling at the farm.  I used two of the 3x4 cards to flank my picture, adding the date to one and my journaling to the other.  The phrase "Snow Fun" was included in the kit's sticker sheet.  I've mentioned before that I hate that phrase. But I was able to use it creatively in a longer title and I think the result is pretty darn cute.  The last touch is the top and bottom border of text phrases.

Where I could scrap but never do!

This is my scrapping/crafting space!  I love it, but I rarely scrap here.  Since Angie's kids are younger than mine we always scrapped at her house when they were little because it was easier for them to be at home with their cribs, toys and all those baby gadgets.  As the years went on we just carried on with this because I got used to packing my stuff up and being mobile while she didn't.  I think it also has to do with her being the spoiled baby of the family:)!  Anyway, I still love the space and enjoy crafting here occasionally and organizing it even if I don't scrap there.  I like using treasures I find at flea markets and antique stores as storage.  My favorite thing is that in our small house that houses 5 people and 2 BIG dogs this space is all mine!

Bekah Christmas Morning 2016

And here is the last of the pages I made during our last scrapping session using the Simple Stories Classic Christmas kit.  I really enjoyed working with these papers and embellishments and I still have plenty of supplies left to either make more pages or whip up a bunch of Christmas cards, maybe even both!

Gavin's Basketball 2016-17

Circles work well on a basketball themed page.  I was able to use a bigger 3" size punch on some action photos and a smaller 2" punch on some scraps of basketball textured paper for the right hand page and also some plain orange paper to make the title.  The letters in the title are from DCWV and  I free handed on the basketball lines with a Sharpie.  The half circle background paper is from the Primary 123 stack by The Paper Studio.  I also used my paw punch to add some interest to the journaling area.   This page highlights our first sports related ER visit-  stitches from taking an elbow to the face,  and they called Gavin for the foul- ouch!

Alarik Christmas Morning 2016

Would you believe that the light blue border sticker on the left side of my page isn't a full 12 inches?  Who does that???  I fixed it by topping it with one of the coordinating stickers from the kit.  That particular sticker is not one that I probably would have used otherwise, it leans a little toward the ugly side, so it was a good use for it.

Christmas 2016

The cute banner idea on the left hand page is something I found on Pinterest and pinned to my "Scrappy Inspiration" board.  It is nice to have some ideas to scroll through when I get stumped on a page.  I made all the banners from paper from my scrap file and the plaid banners are made from washi tape that I picked up from Target last Christmas.  The plaid title letters are from Hobby Lobby and the frame that helps to break up the solid page of pictures on the right hand side is from The Paper Studio 12 days of Christmas Kit also from Hobby Lobby.

Scott Christmas Morning 2016

Here's the first of a set of three Christmas Morning pages for my kids using the same Simple Stories Classic Christmas kit as I used for their pages about decorating the tree.  I used the December calendar piece from the kit, circling the 25 and adding a chipboard 25 for just a pop of red color and dimension.

Elf 2016

It is my opinion (and proabably no one else's!) that I really had some killer ideas for our Elf last year!  I didn't want to leave out any pictures so I created a flip book on the left hand page.  I have done this one several pages before and it is a great way to fit lots of pictures.  I just used some brads to attach the pictures together into a "book" and then glue the last picture right to the page.  I will also have to cut the page protector around the book so it can be flipped through. I made the title to match the ornament paper with a circle punch and punch out letters by DCWV.

It's time for mistletoe & holly.

And here is Bekah's page, similar to Scott's & Alarik's.  For hers, I did a more irregular "x" shape and I'm undecided if I like that better than the others or not.

First Snow

The first snow of the year in the form of a big storm that dumps 21 inches, always exciting!  Even as an adult in Northern MN stow storms are still thrilling:) This spread ended up loaded with pictures because I had so many pretty ones.  I was glad to be able to add the ripped strip of paper to each page without blocking anything vital in the pictures.  I think this really helped to unify the two pages since the colors in the photos from the day of and the day after the storm are so different.  The plaid background paper is from the WJB Collection stack by The Paper Studio and the snowflake paper is also from TPS and is from the Lewis Family Vacation stack.  The title letters and fun little critter sticker are some old, old supplies from my stash that I was happy to get to use up!

Merry and Bright - Alarik

Pretty much identical to Scott's Merry and Bright page, Alarik's page has one additional photo and a different shaped cut out to showcase the double-sided paper.
