We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

Memorial Weekend 2016

Scrapping North Shore Camping pages never gets old!  I love the title I did for this page.  The oversize letters as well as the background paper are by The Paper Studio and I purchased them at Hobby Lobby.  I added some detail and the words to the letters with a Sharpie.  I was glad several of my pictures could be cropped so small.  Running a strip of them across the page is a great way to get lots of pictures in the layout.

Bekah @ Frontenac

This page was so much fun for me to make after all the brown and kraft of the boys' camping pages. I still went with a navy background, but there are so many other fun colors going on. All of the patterns are cards from Fancy Pants Designs pocket page cards. I cut some in half or thirds to use in different ways. I also silhouette cut a butterfly from one of them to add to my main photo. I journaled on one of the lined cards and then added my embellishments which are Simple Stories POSH chipboard stickers. My title is American Crafts Thickers.  These were sent to me in an order from steals.com as an apology for messing up my order. I was hesitant to use them because I HATE getting glitter all over everything. I was happy to discover that the glitter did not come off of the at all while I was using them.

Rochester Trip

I did a page for each of my boys of their Rochester adventure but they are pretty much identical so I will just post one.  Grandma had to go down to Mayo for some appointments over several days last summer and Ang took her so she also took my boys and one of her boys to keep her company and boy did they have a blast!  While Grandma was busy with appointments they saw the sights of the city and checked out some great restaurants.  I had to cram lots of pictures on these pages so there wasn't much room for embellishments but the cute road trip stickers are from The Paper Studio.  The title letters are from my DCWV punch out alpha stack. I did also add the goose which was cut out from a take out bag from The Canadian Honker- one of their favorite restaurants of the trip I think!

Scott @ Frontenac

I pulled from my stash of Fall, and even Halloween supplies for this page.  The plaid paper is Photo Play Paper Co Falling Leaves "Give Thanks". My title letters are from the Carta Bella Happy Haunting cardstock stickers sheet. The round tag embellishments are Chic Tags.

A Wild Weekend

** Another oldie from the Kallinen archives that was stuck in drafts.

Although we LOVE our life in the quite north woods it is nice to escape to the Twin Cities every once in a while and take in some....umm....culture??  If you consider the Mall of America, MN Zoo and a waterpark culture;)

Materials:
title letters- Recollections
zoo stickers- Paper House
"moa" stickers came from the $ Tree- don't forget to check there often for cheap scrapbook supplies!

Alarik Yurting

I did not do a title on this page, instead relying on the cropped photo of the tag from our yurt (Colorado Yurt Company) and the words within my journaling that are spelled with alpha tiles.  The colored tiles are so old - one of the first scrapbook supplies I can remember ordering from Oriental Trading Company when I started scrapbooking almost 12 years ago!  There is quite the rag-tag assortment of letters left so I sprinkled as many as I could throughout my journaling block.

The only other supplies I used on this page are some plaid patterned paper and some more stickers from the Sn@p Life Documented planner stickers pack.

Caden's Football 2013

** Here's a blast from the past that I (ok Ang found) sitting on our drafts tab for some reason and it doesn't look like it ever published.

My boys love, love, love their football!  They have spent all basketball season wishing it was football season again!  This was the only year they both played together on the Pony League team so I was so glad I borrowed a friends nice camera and got some good shots.

Materials:
field paper- The Paper Studio
cardstock football stickers- The Paper Studio
I don't know the brand of the metal letters (I have had them forever!) but I do know I got them at JoAnn Fabrics

Scott Yurting

I used a kraft background again for this page. Seems like I did everything in either kraft or navy during our last scrapping weekend.

The ripped and layered papers here are all from My Mind's Eye's Kraft Fun Day collection - a long-time love of mine!  I scattered a few embellishments from the same collection around the page and added my journaling on a ripped bit of cardstock.

Jade K Super Nanny

This was a fun page to create to capture some of the memories of Jade nanny-ing for her cousins for several summers. I used more paper from the Recollections Primary 123 stack for the background of this spread (I am getting a lot of use out of that purchase!)  The stickers are from the "That's my Boy" collection from Echo Park.  I thought the circles on the paper were a fun way to mat my title!  I used my DCWV punch out alpha stack.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

One last page from our last scrapping weekend that uses the Echo Park "That's My Boy" kit. Scott's hair grew for many months but before school and football started in the Fall, Dad demanded a trim. This page tells the story:

Gavin's Confirmation

My background paper for this spread is from the Primary 123 stack by Recollections.  I wanted to stick with the red & black theme so I used black to mat.  I tore paper to mat the title on which is made from stickers also by Recollections.  I displayed his certificate on the pages but he also had some cards I wanted to save but didn't want taking up space on the page so I created a pocket on the back of one of the pages to slide them into.

Writing Practice

Another layout with Echo Park's "That's My Boy" kit.  This is a rare one-photo layout for me. I knew I wanted to include a sample of Alarik's writing practice and the single photo along with that and my journaling tells the story so I didn't need to include anything more.

Caden's Track 2016

The stickers I used on this page are from Hobby Lobby but I am not sure of the brand.  I used a scrap of track themed paper from my scrap stash- sometimes all it takes is a small piece to add to the theme of the page.  I also added some interest with my paw punch which I have got lots of mileage out of since we are the Huskies.

11 Pairs of Underwear

This page came together quickly using the Echo Park "That's My Boy" kit. It was so much fun to work with these bright colors and fun patterns which were perfect for the silly topic of this page!
