We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

I have been wanting to scrap deer season pages for a long time.  I always thought they would be fun to do but since I only scrapbook the kids' activities, I haven't had a chance until they were old enough to go.  And then I had to convince Jesse to remember to take pictures of them!  I love the photo of getting ready to go to the shack with all that stuff!  The look on Jesse's face says it all, don't you think?  The other picture featured on this page is Jesse's first-ever selfie.  Looks like he still has some work to do to perfect his technique.
The accent stickers on this page are "Hunting" by Reminisce and the papers are from The Paper Studio's Stonewashed pack.

Halloween 2014

For Bekah's Halloween 2014 page, I used punchouts and paper from the My Mind's Eye Blackbird collection.

For both Scott's and Alarik's pages, I used a sheet from D.C.W.V. Fall & Halloween Stack for the background, and Carta Bella's"Happy Hunting" element stickers for embellishments.

Yet another layout where I lined three photos up across the page and called it good!  This is another of the few pages I did not journal on during our last scrapbooking session.  I loved this series of photos of Alarik and I didn't think they needed any elaborating.  While searching for stickers for my title, I wanted to use these plain blue ones but didn't have all that I needed.  I solved that problem by using the negatives of the missing letters.

Scott - Fall 2014

Here's the last of my kids' fall pages.  I feel like I did a whole lot of lining three photos up across a page during our last scrapbooking session...and I guess I did, but it's a layout that works well for me!
The first two photos on this side of the spread were landscape orientation so they aren't as tall as the other four photos on the layout.  It looks a little odd but I didn't like any other arrangement I tried so I just went with it.

Apple Fest 2014

Another wonderful trip to Bayfield, WI for the Apple Fest!  I titled this page Apple Fest? because I couldn't help but notice that most of my pics weren't actually from the Apple Fest but from some of the other spots we hit along the way every year!

I used a small leaf punch to add the leaves to the black banner.

The plaid paper used on this two-page spread is another relic from the Target Dollar Spot.  I matched it up with pale yellow, navy and brown cardstock.  My title letters are by The Paper Studio.
Jesse hung a new swing for the kids and it's a tall one so they get plenty of air to leap into the leaf piles!
I spy crookedness...going to have to fix that!

Fall Fest 2014

It was back to my favorite technique of tearing paper on this layout- I just love the way it looks and it seems especially appropriate on a fall page to me for some reason:)  I created the title with a tag punch and some punch out letters that I have had so long I have no clue where they are from or what brand they are.

Playful Autumn Leaves Page

I dug DEEP into the ol' supply stash for this page and came out with some seriously old stuff.  I started scrapbooking thanks to a friend who gave me an album when our first baby was born, 10 years ago.  I remember ordering the red, orange and yellow alpha buttons and the leaf buttons used on this page from Oriental Trading Company not long after realizing I was hooked on scrapbooking.  So these things are probably at least 9 years old.  I have actually gotten the alphas out more than once in the last couple of years, but I didn't have the letters to spell what I wanted.  They were probably destined for the garage sale pile during my next purge, but lo and behold, I dumped them out when I was working on this page and I had what I needed to spell "Autumn Leaves"...hooray!  I'm fairly certain now that I really can't spell anything else with what's left.
The background paper for this page is from a fall paper pack that was sold in the Target Dollar Spot, also quite some time ago.  I think all these old supplies came together very nicely for this page and I love the sunny photos and smiling face in them!

Kallinen Christmas 2014

The third page that I did for Christmas 2014- overkill....maybe, but I just had so many pictures, is Christmas Eve and Day.

This is how Scott...

Always entertaining, sometimes frustrating, our middle child is always doing his own thing.  I had several photos of him just being him and I put them together in this layout.  The background paper is from The Paper Studio Proud to Serve pack.  There are tons of great "boy" papers in this stack!  I used the Colorbok Mega Limbo black alphas again for my title (love those) and finished off the title on each photo mat with black marker.

Christmas Prep 2014

I did several Christmas layouts for 2014 because I didn't want to try and cram everything onto just one page.  This page includes all the "prep" work for Christmas like getting and decorating the tree and decorating cookies:)

I used a tiny star punch to add some red stars to the banner and then to also add some detail to some bigger stars I had punched out to go across the page.

First Day of School 2014

Another item I scored with the scrapbook.com gift certificate that I won was the "Smarty Pants" 12x12 sticker sheet by Simple Stories.  It was perfect for these first day of school photos.  I cropped and clustered my four photos, then matted them on a neutral striped paper.  I embellished with the stickers, using one of the pencils at the bottom (it's cut off in the scan) to write the date and Bekah's grade.

For Scott's page, I was loving the plaid accents on some of the stickers and I found a paper that matched almost perfectly in the D.C.W.V. The Stack 8!  I matted my four photos on kraft cardstock and added the date and Scott's grade on a file folder tab sticker.
These pages are a some of the few that I didn't journal on during our last scrapping session.

Elf Shenanigans

Oh we have so much fun with Christopher!  My personal favorite this year was the bra swing!  My kids came up with several good things this year too though!
