We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

Scenic State Park Hike and Picnic

This is frugal scrapping at its best...three 2-page spreads from one set of themed papers!  I did the same basic layout for each of my three kids, adjusting as needed for different sized photos.  I filled in the empty spaces with papers from We R Memory Keepers' Happy Campers line.  since I was covering most of it up, I was able to use up some funky colored card stock that I probably would not normally have chosen for Alarik's:

And here is how Bekah's turned out:

Last but not least, Scott's:

Wodahl Family Reunion

We traveled out to the Black Hills earlier this summer and had a blast at our family reunion.  It took awhile to cut out all the squares and make the title for this page but I love it and think it was worth it!

Supplies used:
background paper- Proud to Serve Stack by The Paper Studio
alpha stickers- DCWV
South Dakota stickers- Paper House Productions

Memorial Weekend 2014

Most of the room on this spread is filled with pictures!  I used plain background paper and a scrap of camping themed paper out of my scrap file.  The title letters are from a DCWV punch out stack and the tree and table block is from Back Country Story Tellers by The Paper Studio

Bekah in Showshoes

Just like on Scott's page, the title looks misspelled to me, but it's not! The argyle-patterned paper started out life as a full sheet from DCWV The Basics Stack.  I loved it, but it was too busy to use the full sheet as a background.  So instead I cut portions from it and used those to brighten up a sheet of plain purple card stock.  I matted my photos and tucked some parts of them under my patterned paper pieces.  The little snowman stickers are from Jolee's Boutique.

Jade's Portraits

I always had to hang on to all those portraits that you get of your kids throughout their baby, toddler and preschool years.  I had a whole envelope of them and would feel big time guilt whenever I thought of throwing them away.  My solution was to scrap one of each of the best pictures and then chuck the rest quickly before I could think about it!  For some of my daughter's sessions I only had the big 8x10s left which of course take up too much room to scrap them all.  Unless you make a fun flip book on your page!  I used some hinges and brads and put all the 8x10s together.  When I put it in her album I will need to cut the page sleeve so that you can actually flip through and look at all the pictures.  I used small scraps of paper to make banners and label the photos with an age.

Scott's NYE 2013

Yikes, looks like I forgot to post this page of Scott's from our last scrapping session!
The papers are from DCWV The Basics Stack.  I worried that the star print paper might look too feminine but I think with the other patterned paper that is heavy on black, it balanced out just fine.  I matted and made a journaling block with grey card stock.  Title letters are The Paper Studio.

Gavin's Halloween 2013

I think Gavin made a pretty Good Si Robertson from Duck Dynasty!  Mistakes on Halloween pages must have been the theme for me on our last scrap day because I see now that this one says "Hallowee".  I am going to go with the theory that I didn't forget the n- I think it must have fallen off!

Plaid Paper: DCWV The Basics Stack

Title: The Paper Studio alphas
That title word looks like it's spelled wrong no matter how many times I look it up to make sure it's right.  Snowshoeing is just a weird word!

Caden's Halloween 2013

This is a time warp page. Can you see my mistake??  I put 2014 for the year....oops.  It was already scanned so I am just going with it and will fix it later:)

Violin & Piano

I went with the black, red and white color palette again for this page about Bekah's piano and violin playing.  My only supplies were card stock, punch out black and silver stars by Colorbok, and fabric metallic alpha stickers by Greenbrian International, and there wasn't much to this page other than matting my photos and adding a journaling block.

Gavin's Basketball 2013-14

Again on this sports page I went with a background that wasn't basketball themed or school colors.  I used my crazy, cool corner punch to bring some interest to some of the photos and I used some foam adhesive stickers to pop up every other letter in my "hoops" Title.

Supplies used:
background paper- Stonewashed Stack by The Paper Studio
"Retro" basketball stickers- Sticker Studio
Hoops title- Colorbok
punch out title letters- DCWV

Mud Kitchen

Background Paper:  HP102-Campers, by Huckleberry Pond
Mats and Title squares:  brown, blue and cream card stock
Title stickers:  The Paper Studio's Kraft Cardstock alphas

Copying a technique I had seen my sister use just moments before I started working on this page, I popped up every other letter of my title with foam adhesive squares.  It doesn't show as well in the scan but it really adds dimension to the page in person.

This whole "Elf" tradition thing just looked too fun and even though my kids are older I finally broke down and got one last year and had to scrap some of his best antics.  I started with plain black background paper and used the Naughty or Nice Stamps on Craft by Canvas Corp for accents.  I used a couple of big strips of it and then cut some of the circles out to scatter in the open space of my spread.  The present stickers are from the Santa's Workshop Collection by Reminisce and the "Elf" title is made from chipboard letters by Provo Craft.  I used both the "positive and negative" letters matting the negatives (I think, there is a chance I have that backwards!) on black paper so they are the same size.

End of 1st Grade Picnic

Scott's class had a picnic on the last day of school and a friend snapped these great shots of Scott, his buddies and their teachers.  Scott had a really great school year thanks to the awesome duo that co-teaches the 1st and 2nd graders.  I'm happy to have these photos and this layout to remember his friends and teachers from this year.

The papers used are American Traditional Designs' Great Outdoors (leaves and acorns), and tree paper from The Green Stack by DCWV.

Just A Few Favorites (of Jade)

This page is just a fun page of pictures of my daughter that I loved but they never fit in on any page I have scrapped for her.  The papers that I used are from The Basics Stack by DCWV.  I added some detail with a small star punch and stamped on my title.
