We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

Caden's Basketball 2012

I used blue paper by Recollections, yellow paper by Coredinations and basketball print paper also by Recollections to create my ripped and layered background.  I altered the photos on the left hand page on picnic.com which no longer exists but picmonkey.com is the same thing and very fun to play around on.  The big hoop sticker on the right hand page is by Reminisce and I cut my smaller size photos to fill up the backboard.  I numbered the smaller photos and journaled about them by number.

Alarik Halloween 2012

The brown and black coordinating papers on this page are all from the Haunted collection by My Mind's Eye and they include "Spiders", "Spooky Words" and the bat border punched from the accessory sheet.  The orange polka dotted paper is from the D.C.W.V. Halloween & Fall Stack.

Gavin's Basketball 2012

I altered the photos on the left hand page on picnic.com before it shut down.  I now use picmonkey.com  I found these great school colored papers by Scrapbook Customs, but the stripe paper said Home of the Tigers on it and we are the Huskies!  So I simply covered that part of the paper up with the polka dot paper.  Don't pass cool supplies up just because they aren't perfect!  I created a collage on the right hand page using pictures that I printed out in smaller sizes.  I made a key and numbered the pictures so I could say were the game/tourney was at.  The boarder strips that I finished the page off with are by Recollections.

Amnicon Falls, WI

Yet more paper from "The Halloween & Fall Stack" by DCWV.  This was a good purchase especially since my sister bought it and I just seem to be using all of the paper:)  Both the pattern papers were from this stack and the brown paper I used for matting, my journaling area and the tags I made is from an "Earth Tone Cool Stack" by Colorbok.  I created the tags with my Making Memories tag maker.  The letters that I used on the tags and the letters spelling "falls" are from a Colorbok punch out letter stack.  The letters spelling "Amnicon" are "Jigsaw Alphabets" by Making Memories.  I accented my tags and journaling block with some baker's twine by American Crafts.

Scott Fall Fest 2012

Lots of ripping and layering going on here.  All the patterned papers are from the newest D.C.W.V. Halloween & Fall Stack.  I matted two of my cropped photos on black cardstock.  The title letters are from a punch-out alpha stack by Colorbok.  I journaled right on the light brown cardstock background of this page.

Apple Fest 2012

I love this plaid background paper that I stole from my sister:)  Perfect for a fall page.  It came from "The Halloween & Fall Stack" by DCWV.  The burlap print paper that I used for matting my photos is by Recollections.  My title letters are from a punch out letter stack by Colorbok- I have got soooo much use out of this, it was a great buy!  I finished off the page with some stickers from Creative Imaginations- Debbie Mumm.

Bekah's Fall Fest 2012

I used a couple sheets of orange, diamond-print paper from the newest D.C.W.V. Halloween & Fall Stack for the background of Bekah's Fall Fest 2012 page.  I ripped two hunks of slate gray paper to anchor each photo.  The journaling block is from the Blackbird collection by My Mind's Eye.  The round alpha tiles are from Oriental Trading Co. and I added some pumpkin brads on the other side of the two-page spread.

Fall Fest 2012

The jack-o-lantern paper that I used for my background is from "The Halloween & Fall Stack" by DCWV.  I used orange, black and "hay" printed paper by Creative Imaginations (Debbie Mumm) for matting my pictures and a journaling block.  I did some creative cropping with one of the pictures that had a lot of dead space and created a sort of frame for the actual subjects of the picture- I really like how it turned out!  I stamped on my title using two different fonts for the words and numbers.

Scott's First Lost Tooth

I silhouetted three shots of Scott's missing tooth (and Tooth Fairy money) for this simple page.  The brown striped background paper is from a Fall pack from the Target Dollar Spot.  The green accent paper is from a D.C.W.V. Christmas Stack and the sticker is by Karen Foster Design.  I'm pretty sure stickers from that sheet got used for at least three, maybe even four kid's pages between Steph and I.  Hey, gotta keep the cost down where you can and not be wasteful!

Alarik

This page is just some candid shots of Alarik that I loved and couldn't bear to NOT scrap!  The background paper is Recollections Blue Pinstripe and the alpha stickers are Recollections brand as well.  My photos are matted on solid colored cardstock and I jotted just a little bit of journaling and the date right on the cardstock.

Caden's Halloween 2012

The background paper and journaling block for this page came from "The Bewitched Stack" by DCWV.  I matted my photos on plain orange paper and then tore the edges to add some interest.  The letters for my title are by K & Company and the jack o lantern sticker is by Jolee's Boutique.

Gavin's Halloween 2012

The Halloween background paper that I started with is from "The Bewitched Stack by DCWV.  The journaling block was from the stack also.  The "Thrill, Chill" tag is by K & Company and the great candy letters I used to spell "Oct 31" are also by K & Company.

Christmas 2012

I started this spread with some cute plaid paper by We R Memory Keepers.  I created my banner title with a pennant punch.  I cut out both white and red and layered them to give my banner more dimension.  I used some bakers twine from the Target dollar section to string my banner and stamped on the letters and numbers.  On the right hand page I spelled out "joy" using punch out letters from a Colorbok stack.

Gavin's Lego Page

More cool Lego paper by Creative Imaginations!  I added some detail to this very simple layout by free handing some "stitching"around the journaling area and punching the word "LEGOS" into one of the photos with my alpha punches.

Caden's Lego Page

This great Lego background paper is by Creative Imaginations.  I used several different colors of plain paper to mat photos and create a journaling area.  The metal letters I used for the Lego title are from Oriental Trading and I attached them to the paper with brads that coordinate with the paper I used for matting.

Gavin's Pony League 2012

I am really into "pennants" right now and did them in some form or another on a couple pages during our last scrapping session!  For this simple one page spread I cropped three pictures the same size to fit across the page and matted them on white.  The "field" background paper is by Karen Foster.  I created the pennants by hand cutting the notches and layering two different colors of paper.  I added some detail to the edge of the journaling pennant by hand with a marker.  The football stickers are by Mrs. Grossmans and the personalized school sticker is by The Beistle Co.

Vikes

For the title of this two page spread I used some letter stencils that I ordered from Oriental Trading and a silver marker.  I ran the title diagonally to match the strip of photos that I ran across the page.  I scraplifted this idea from a pin on Pinterest:).  I used Viking purple and gold for all my matting and the journaling areas and I think it looks really sharp against the black background.  I really like the title on this page but I think my favorite part of the page is the small photo that I matted and placed on a larger photo of the field.  This page is good example of a page done using only inexpensive papers and no expensive embellishments!

Jade's Volleyball 2012

I found this great colorful volleyball background paper by Recollections and so decided to do my first sports page where I didn't use our school colors!!  I love making photos more interesting by cropping them into different shapes and sizes or silhouetting them and I think it looks good on this page:)  The volleyball print paper that I ran across the middle of the left hand page is by Scrappin' Sports and I placed three photos that I have silhouetted on that paper.  The letters that I used for my "VBALL" title are by Reminisce.  I matted each letter on a small square of white paper so they wouldn't get lost on the busy background. The volleyball stickers that I used to embellish the rest of the spread were the last ones on a sheet that I used up but I forgot to write down the brand before I tossed it:(

B is for Book

Bekah was snuggled in a bunch of blue blankets and pillows when I took these reading photos of her so I kept blue going with a solid blue cardstock background.  I matted both photos on a single piece of white cardstock and did my journaling in the white space.  My title letters are by Recollections and the bookworm accent stickers are from an old Fall Sticker Stack by D.C.W.V.  I finished off the page with a bookplate that holds the date.
