We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

Winter Baby

Most of the embellishing on this page came right on the background paper which is "Making a Snowman" by Reminisce.  All I added was a couple photos matted on red card stock and a handful of snowflakes punched from the same and adhered with foam dots to make them pop off the page a little.  I wrote my journaling right on the snowman.

Gavin's Halloween 2011

I started this page with a plain sheet of yellow paper by Recollections which I layered the jack-o-lantern paper by Making Memories over so the yellow peeks through the cut out areas.  The title and "chills & thrills" sticker are by Studio G.  I added a spider web rub on to the corner to finish off the page.

Father Daughter Dance

What could be sweeter than photos of Bekah's first dance, a Father-Daughter dance at our church?  Nothing, in my opinion.
This page needed no journaling thanks to the chalkboard messages in the portrait.  I matted that photo on blue card stock just so it wasn't all love and hearts (for Jesse's sake).  The heart accent paper is "Red & Pink Hearts" by Recollections and the heart ribbon is by Recollections as well.  The red fibers are by Paper Pizazz and I tied those and the ribbon through eyelets set in the heart accent paper.

Caden's Halloween 2011

I used this cute candy print paper from We R Memory Keepers as my background folding one corner up so you can see the pattern on the reverse side.  I used plain green paper under the folded up corner and also for photo mats on the page.  I added a green brad to the corner of the folded up piece and a "haunted house" rub on adds interest to the corner.  The trick or treat title is by Studio G.

Criminal Behavior

This page is how I dealt with my rage over Jesse cutting Alarik's adorable baby hair before I was ready, and without asking me!  Just kidding.  I couldn't be that mad because he was just so cute with a buzz cut too!  It was fun to do a little something different with this page in place of the typical picture-picture-journaling-picture.
For the background of the page, I layered an 11x11 square of baby blue checked print paper from the Baby Boy pad from Jenny and Jeff Designs over a 12x12 sheet of plain yellow card stock, leaving all the border on only two sides.  The rest of my supplies for this page are just plain black and blue card stock and titles/captions/journaling printed on my computer.  I used a typewriter style font.  For the "EVIDENCE" stamp, I searched Google Images for it, then just printed and tore around it for a rough look.

Labor Day Weekend 2011

For this two page spread I started out with two sheets of 12x12 craft paper which you can get for a good price from Orientaltrading.com.  The cute flag paper on the "USA" side is by Karen Foster.  I used a strip of the paper and then a strip of plain blue paper which I stamped my title on.  I cut out two flags from the Karen Foster paper and used them as accents in my title area.  I used the same flag and blue paper as photo mats on the page.  On the "Canada" side I used maple leaf print paper by Reminisce and plain red paper for my title, journaling and matting.

Alarik's First Christmas

Alarik's first Christmas page is the last one I made using paper from the S.E.I. Kris Kringle collection that I purchased from PeachyCheap.com.  The green background paper is from that collection - a super-fun one!
The green print photo mat paper is from the 6x6 "Peppermint" pack by Crate Paper.  Title stickers are from Recollections.  I cannot remember who the bear sticker is by.  It was just one of those leftovers sitting in my scrap stash that ended up being perfect for this page.
I had a goof on this page when I wrote "2012" directly onto the bear sticker so I had to write the correct year "2012" on a scrap of green card stock to cover it up...oops!

Memorial Weekend 2012

The pine cone background paper I used in this spread is by Recollections.  The plaid paper that I used as photo mats is "Huckleberry Pond" by The Paper Loft.  I created a small collage on the right hand page with lots of smaller sized photos and a journaling area.  Don't worry, I did actually journal after the page was scanned:)  I accented the collage area with some pine cone brads by Eyelet Outlet and some stickers by Recollections which came with the alpha stickers that I used for the title.

Christmas Wishes

I'll just keep right on going with Christmas pages here.  This is Bekah's 2011 Christmas page and, same as Scott's, I created it with papers and embellishments from the S.E.I. Kris Kringle collection which I purchased from PeachyCheap.com.

I based Bekah's page on dark red card stock, using a strip cut from one of the S.E.I. papers as an accent along the bottom.  I layered a coordinating 3D tree sticker over the tree-print paper to give it some pop.
My single photo is matted on snowflake patterned paper with 3D snowflake and bird accent stickers rounding out the page.  My journaling was very minimal on a strip of white card stock across the page.

No Girls Allowed

I don't think I have ever used any of my kid's artwork on their scrapbook pages before but I should have!  My son Gavin made this when he was 7 and, as my journaling states, this sums him up at that age!  Both designs of star print paper that I used are by Jillibean Soup and the journaling block came from a sheet of "U Bug Me" cut outs by BoBunny.  I also used a sheet of denim print paper.  I created some accents for the page using a star punch and layering the different patterns of paper.

Santa Came To Town

The patterned papers and sticker on Scott's Christmas 2011 page is from the S.E.I. Kris Kringle collection.  Wow, I CAN use something other than D.C.W.V. Christmas stack paper!  :)  I purchased the collection on PeachyCheap.com. and it came with tons of fun stuff including papers, stickers, frames and ribbons.

Since my theme was Santa Clause, I double matted a photo of Scott with his Santa gift, then stamped my title and added a coordinating sticker from the collection.

I also double matted two of the photos on the other half of my two-page spread.  The third picture I matted in just black and then placed it on an over-sized mat cut from more of the candy cane accent paper.  I journaled on white card stock and matted with a bit more candy cane paper.

Happy Winter Birthday

This page for Bekah's 7th birthday was created with several different patterned papers from the D.C.W.V. Christmas stack.  The star and snowflake paper was from that stack as well as the "Happy Winter" title pieces.  I spelled "Birthday" out with punch out letters by Colorbok.
I used light blue card stock for the page backgrounds and matted on darker blue and pink card stock with some pink swirl patterned paper double mats.
