We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

July the 4th 2011

Here are the supplies I used on this page: The blue background paper is from a DCWV stack, the scalloped paper is by Creative Imaginations, the flag paper is by Karen Foster Design, the star print paper by Provo Craft, chipboard title letters by Li'l Davis Designs and the star shaped brads are from Oriental Trading. I backed my title with plain light blue paper to make it show up better. I matted my pics on the left hand page with the same light blue and also the star paper, ripping the edges of the light blue and inking the edges with red to make a nice contrast. I cut the 4 out using a Friskars Shape cutter and template and stamped on the "the" and "th". I cropped all my photos on the right hand page to the same size and matted them together on a square. I layered stars punched out of the light blue paper and the star pattern paper and made a journaling area by layering the same papers. I attached the journaling area with the star shaped brads.

Big Time Ballers

Last year we went to see both the MN Timberwolves and the Harlem Globetrotters play and I created a page like this for each of my boys. I started with plain black background paper and used punch out letters from Colorbok for the title. On the left hand page I used Timberwolves colors layering cardstock by Coredinations with basketball texture paper by ANW Crestwook. I did the same thing on the right hand page using Globetrotter colors. I copied the Globetrotter basketball out of the program that we bought at the game. The only other embellishment I added was the ticket for each of the games. This is a great way to have the date and time of the game on your page without journaling it.

Gavin's Football 2011

I started with football background paper by Creative Imaginations. I triple matted my favorite photo- triple matting just makes photos stand out so much! I placed a few other photos on the page and added my title using alpha stickers by Stickabilities. I added a triangle of white paper to an open corner and used it as a journaling area.

Fall Fest 2011

I started this spread with some fall colored cardstock by Cordinations. The hay paper which I ripped the edges on is by Colorbok. For the title I ran a very thin strip of coordinating fall colored paper across the page and placed punch out letters on it. I cut one of my pictures apart and then matted all the pieces on cardstock leaving small spaces between the pieces. I matted a sticker, rounded the corners of the mat and placed it in the middle of the four pics where it just covers up dead space in the photos. On the right hand page I ran more cardstock strips- vertically this time, put an eyelet in each end and them ran some twine type cord the whole length and trough the eyelets securing with tape on the back of the page. The stickers I used on this page are by Creative Imaginations- Debbie Mumm.

Kallinen Family Christmas 2011

I don't remember the brand of this paper but I do know I ordered it from scrapyourtrip.com. I captioned each photo individually using picnik.com. The captions serve as journaling on this page. The cut out letters and numbers in the title are from a Paper Pizzaz Christmas stack.

Bayfield Apple Fest 2011

For this page I used fall colored cardstock by Cordinations and burlap pattern paper by Paper Pizzaz. I ran a title strip through the middle of each page and used cut out numbers and letters for the title. I ran my photos above and below the title block on each page leaving room for a scarecrow sticker and a journaling block. The stickers are by Creative Imaginations- Debbie Mumm.

Jade's Basketball 2010-11

The blue, gold and white stripe background paper is by Scrapbook Customs and the basketball print paper is by Paper Pizazz. I triple matted the main photo leaving an edge on the bottom of each color. I used my alpha punches on the edges to punch out "cousin vs cousin" (Jade's cousin plays on an opposing school's team!) I matted the rest of the photos photo booth style again leaving extra space on the edge for journaling. The basketball title and ball sticker are by Me & My Big Idea. The year I added using number stamps.

Water Boy

The striped background paper is from the D.C.W.V. Christmas stack and the letter stickers are from a dollar store. I was short a couple of vowels so I cut around the missing stickers to create the letter with the negative. I mounted the title on cardstock cut to size and used photo mats of the same dark blue cardstock.

I made waves out of ripped cardstock and blue wire anchored with white brads and then wrote my journaling with a silver pen.

Gavin's Basketball 2011

I started this page with a sheet of striped blue, gold and white paper from Scrapbook Customs. I cut the basketballs that I ran across the middle of the page out of a sheet of paper by Creative Imaginations adding in blue circles matted on gold. I used a Friskars punch to add the paw prints. I journaled right on the circles & balls and also added the date using number stickers from Darice.
