We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

Scott Goes to Preschool!

I used a strip of star paper by Jenny & Jeff Designs (Paper Boutique) to break up the plain black background of this page. I mounted my letter stickers on squares of black paper. The letter stickers are from a Fall Sticker stack by D.C.W.V. I don't know what company the ruler, crayon, pencil and pushpin stickers are - I stole them from Steph's stash!

Mohawks 4 State

When our small town high school football team made it to state for the first time ever the look around town for all boys to have was mohawks in support of our mohawked team! The title which I placed on a ripped strip of football textured paper by The Paper Company was made from letters from a Colorbok punch out stack. The chipboard 4 is by Provo Craft. I left plenty of space for journaling, making sure to record who we played to get to state and the scores of the games. I added a football sticker by Reminisce to finish off my photo area.

Three kids means three times the scrapbooking which means you just can't feel guilty about making duplicate layouts at times. I made these three Halloween pages in a snap with adorable printed papers and brads from the Blackbird collection by My Mind's Eye. I chose just one (two for Scott) photos and surrounded them by blocks of the patterned papers, rounding the corners of everything. Bekah's journaling is on a block from the same My Mind's Eye set.

For Scott's journaling, I layered a kraft paper rectangle over one of my patterned paper blocks. I created his title with a random assortment of letter stickers and rub-ons (a great way to use up some of those leftovers)

I only did a title on Alarik's page, again using an assortment of black stickers.

Caden's Basketball 2011

The basketball background paper I used on this page is by Sandy Lion. I triple matted one ofthe photos and made a photo booth strip out of the other three. I triple matted alpha stickers by Darice for the title which I ran vertically down the page. I used a Friskars paw shaped punch in my title also. The sticker accents on the page are by Me & My Big Idea.

Busy Elves

I scrapped a page for each of my older two kids to show some of the pre-Christmas fun we had in 2011. I used coordinating polka dot and Christmas cookie patterned paper on each page. On Scott's page I used it to create a portion of the background and on Bekah's page I used it to embellish my photo mats. I also used red and green cardstock as photo mats and to mat the title on Bekah's page. The titles are punched from a letter stack by Colorbok. I journaled on cardstock to finish off the pages.

South Dakota 2010

Lots of pics to scrap from our 2010 road trip to the Black Hills! I put this page off forever because I just didn't know where to start- it always works out if you just jump in and start! I don't know the brand of these papers but I purchased them along with the stickers from "scrapyourtrip.com". For some reason my printer printed out my bigger size b&w pics streaky, but I decided I kind of liked it and just went with it:) To accent my bigger pics even more I tore around the edges before matting them. Then I just added on as many of my other pics as I could!

This is Alarik's "Brothers" page, identical to the one I did for Scott here but with a different color scheme and stickers.

Volleyball 2011

For the title of this page I doubled up punch out letters from Colorbok giving them a "shadow" effect. I used alpha punches to punch words from a cheer down the side of one of my picture mats. I then alpha stamped the rest of the cheer and the year onto the page. I finished the page off with a matted volleyball sticker that was clear and would not have shown up on the busy background if not matted.

July the 4th

I started with a kraft paper background on this page about Scott's 4th of July 2011. I punched the stars and cut the circle embellishments and strips from three different, coordinating sheets of patterned paper by Rusty Pickle. I silhouette cut the photo of Scott in his goofy glasses. The mats for my other three photos are cardstock that I crumpled into a ball over and over until it was soft and tattered looking.

Bekah's page was slightly different, starting with a dusty blue background. I layered a star-punched paper by Creative Imaginations over the left-hand side and created my title with Alpha Tags by Sticker Studio. I mounted two of my photos on a large piece of red cardstock and then embellished it with silver star brads from Jo-Ann Crafts.
I used the same patterned papers by Rusty Pickle to cut my paper strips, circles and stars for the right-hand half of the page.

Fall 2011

The plaid paper used in this layout is from the Blackbird collection by My Mind's Eye. The leaf embellishments are from Oriental Trading. The only other supplies I used were black, straw gold and burnt orange cardstock.
