We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

Boarding

I used the same lay-out and supplies to make a snow boarding page for each of my boys. The stripe background paper is from a DCWV paper stack, the title letters from Cloud 9 Design and the chipboard snowflakes from Bazzil Basics. I mixed 2 packs of the letters- one black and one white- to have enough letters for my title. I stuck to the red, black and white color scheme by matting my photos in those colors. I painted the snowflakes with some craft paints in coordinating colors and journaled with a silver gel pen on a black journaling block.

First Bath

All three of my kids are absolutely screaming in their first bath pictures. But you gotta scrap 'em anyway! For this page I used a 12x12 sheet of yellow cardstock and ran a patterned paper down the right-hand third of the page. I matted my two photos of the bath in progress on black cardstock and then added a line of colorful brads between them. I also used black cardstock to mat the 3-dimensional "first bath" sticker which is by K and Company. I matted my last photo on red cardstock.

At the Zoo

The stripe background paper came from a DCWV paper stack and the title letters are by Colorbok. I tore the edges of all my pictures and matted them on dark paper that contrasts well with the white. This adds a little interest to this simple lay-out. I placed my journaling block right in the middle of four pictures where it just covers dead space and matted my bright title letters on white paper to make them stand out.

Alarik's Baptism

Long live the Christmas paper stack by D.C.W.V.! That's where I pulled my background paper for yet another layout. The papers in these stacks are just so versatile. This particular page of Alarik's baptism ended up looking just a little more Christmas-y than I'd like, but it still works. The red stripe, brown ribbons, bird and patch where I wrote the date were all pre-printed on the paper. I matted my two pictures on a green cardstock and used small squares and strips of the same to accent my title letters.

Playground Photo Shoot

I chose navy blue and green for the colors on this lay-out. I stamped the title on in silver but it didn't show up very well so I used a green gel pen to fill in the letters and make them stand out more. I randomly stamped designs on the background paper in silver ink- it showed up better on the green! I ran three navy colored ribbon pieces along the side of the page and simply taped them on the back. My journaling is just written in a corner directly on the background paper.

Smile, Smile, Smile

This page is so simple, just solid colored card stock, letter stickers and star brads. It really needs no further explanation.
