We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

Texas Name 'em

This two-page spread documents the poker game that determined the name of our second born. Yes, that's right folks, I named my son via poker game!
When I was planning this page, I found poker-themed scrapbooking stuff hard to come by. The only thing I ended up finding was alpha/number stickers that looked like playing cards. I chose a solid green background to mimic the green felt of a poker table. I had a LOT of pictures I wanted to fit on this page so I silouetted the shots of each player with the name they were playing for. I added a shot of the game in progress matted on white cardstock to the left-hand side of the spread. I hand-wrote my title and used number stickers to show the number of players and names.
On the right-hand half of the spread I matted three more phots in the same white cardstock. I did my journaling on the computer and matted the printout on red cardstock. I used the alpha stickers for a few poker term embellishments. The last thing I added was two real playing cards.
