We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

Scott's First Fall Page

This is the first page of many I have made and will make of Scott in the Fall - Fall is my very favorite! This is also the first page I ever used the ripping technique on and I apparently never looked back. I purchased three different Autumn shades of handmade papers at my local scrapbooking store. I tore and pieced them to make the background.

On the left-hand half of the spread I used one 5x7 print of my son in a pile of leaves. I created a custom border for the photo out of twine which I knotted at random intervals. I then took brown embroidery thread and wound it around the twine, using it to string the leaf beads onto it. The beads are from Oriental Trading Company. When the accent was finished, I attached it around the picture with big fall-colored brads.
On the right-hand half of the spread, I used the same technique to create the matching twine accent in the upper, left corner. I printed three copies of another leaf photo of Scott, progressively zooming in on each print. I placed them overlapping up the page. I added the date with stickers from a fall sticker stack by D.C.W.V.
