We are Steph and Angie - sisters who love to scrapbook. We don't know design, we aren't color experts and we usually only get to scrapbook a few times a year. But, we love our families and scrapbooking our memories with them so here we are!

We'll try not to bog you down with long supply lists and explanations (half the time we can't remember what we used or it's such old stuff that you'd never find it anywhere anyway!)

Please feel free to "scrap-lift" any of our ideas that strike your fancy, and if you are a scrapbooker with your own blog, please link back to us!

Bekah & Emily

Early last fall my daughter found a worm friend which she named Emily. She loved that little worm and still wants to look for her each time we go outside. I made this two-page spread about her special little friend.

Supplies: background paper and punch out letters both by Colorbok

The right-hand half of the spread is very basic with just one double-matted picture and the title. The pink and brown theme of both the background paper and picture mats was inspired by the pink of Bekah's shirt and the brown of Emily the worm. The title is made from punch out letters. I added silver eyelets to the picture mat for a little extra detail.

I did a wavy border for the title and journaling areas to mimick a worm shape and I hand-cut a worm (so tough, I know!) from brown cardstock for the final accent on the page. I know it can look a bit messy, but I really like the personal touch that hand-scrawled journaling adds to a page.

Here's how the two halves look side by side:
